ATTEMPTED – COULDN’T FINISH.
I’m not entirely sure what happened here. This book should be completely in my wheelhouse for reading, and I should have loved it; but I didn’t. I first saw the book through a Good Reads recommendation from L J Shen, and since I’ve loved all of LJ’s books, I’d assumed I enjoy this. Sadly no. Something wasn’t quite enough for me, I liked the duel perspectives, but it was all so innocent and flat. The sparks between Fish and Alessandra weren’t hot, or even overly present. I just wanted a bit more from it as a whole, and so didn’t end up finishing it as I moved on to THE REBEL OF RALEIGH HIGH.
